Molie Quantum Energy Corporation battery plant (hereinafter referred to as the “MQE battery plant”) belongs to the battery manufacturing industry. The plant is currently shut down following a fire that occurred on July 14th when semi-finished batteries under testing ignited.
The fire caused concern and worry among nearby residents. We understand the inconvenience and distress the fire at the MQE battery plant has caused the local community and environment. To demonstrate our firm commitment to environmental sustainability, the MQE battery plant voluntarily commissioned a third-party unit to conduct testing and release reports on key environmental indicators from August to December for the community’s reference. All subsequent waste clearance operations will be in compliance with regulations and conducted after securing approval from the public sector. Furthermore, the company will fully communicate with local village chiefs beforehand. We are committed to rebuilding mutual trust and continuously ensuring environmental safety through concrete actions.
The MQE battery plant released the December environmental monitoring report in early January 2026. The latest data shows that the air quality around the plant perimeter (Background air quality levels were marginally less favorable during some periods) and the stormwater runoff both comply with national standards, indicating no impact on the surrounding environment.
